Hi guys. I recently purchased a "wood stove" online and since picking it up I have come to the conclusion that it is in fact a coal heater. just looking for some info on it if anyone has any and how it would be used . any chance of converting it to a wood burning heater etc.

You can burn wood in just about any coal stove, but the problem is getting enough wood in to equal the output that coal would give.

Thanks for the reply, we have a fairly mild cold period so I would probably only need minimal warmth output to be happy. definitely dont need 24 hrs output either

Maybe line the bottom with fire brick ,and get rid of the grates for wood. Wood burns top down coal burns bottom up.

Thanks 2001sierra. I will look into that as an option. it appears to have a firebrick layer in the bottom already
