Now, in spring will even turn out a few as people now get at long over due cleaning out of basements and garages for precious space.

Diligent detective work can uncover some really nice stoves from very anxious sellers.

Maybe spring or summer but my sense is wood/coal/pellet stove retailers get hungry when the price of oil goes down. If you're even considering used, keep an eye on CR and FB marketplace.... over time you're bound to pick up a deal there.

Whenever I am not buying a stove

I bought my first stove in late 1980, fuel was rising and interest rates on mortgages were 13%.
My Keystoker 90 replacement in 2008, fuel prices were pushing $4.00 per gallon, but I really did not have to get it, but wanted one and had the cash. Ordered late spring took a few months to get it, and quite frankly got mine before the crunch for the suppliers. I can say both times I never felt the prices were really inflated, just the demand could cause delays. I think the coal stove manufacturers are a good bunch and do not get caught up in the hype of demand only to get caught in the down turn like in the late 70's.

I agree with McGiever,.......NOW! (From Dealer) And like already mentioned; Watch Craigs list, etc. Now through August. Once coming into September, people are thinking winter. Can still get a good deal though.

Demo/burn credit/last years stoves in dealer possession...
Now because everyone who needed one/heating season is over/demand down...
Used spring summer cleanout/cleanup...
Thought they could get a million in the winter but have sat on overpriced stove but needs to move it now...
Cash in hand will also persuade a seller...
Hotter it gets the cheaper it gets...
But watch out for rising oil prices...
Always be looking because when you least expect one for the right price...
It shows up...
Good karma and be willing to drive the less traveled road...
