I had the representative from the wood stove store near me come by. He said the Harman tlc2000 does burn wood but I would get very little heat when burning wood. it is meant to burn coal. Does anyone have any experience burning wood in the harmon?

I was told $10 a bag or $500 a ton and then someone in Nashua said that I could get the bags for $300 a ton. The $500 a dton coal was Jetto. Anyone hear of that and how is it?

I have burned wood in my TLC2000 many times & get as much heat out of it as any other stove of similar size. What your rep said defies the physical laws of the universe!
That being said, once you start burning coal in it, (& see how much easier & more controllable any coal stove is with much longer burn times) you will never want to go back to burning wood.
As far as the coal prices you were quoted, they are very high. (almost double what I just paid) I suggest you find another stove rep. & check here for good coal in a TLC2000.
