I'm letting the hand fed go out. It was in the mid 70's here today and humid, I don't see any cold nights in the forecast. I think it's time, has been burning since the week before Thanksgiving.

I still have a spot or two of snow on the ground on my place... but switched to wood. 70 for a high tomorrow. About time for that.

My Axeman Anderson is plugging along. We had frost this morning, but it got up to 65 today. Another few weeks at least.

Usually to May 15...
This chimney drafts nice in the warmer weather...
Will see if it is much different here than on the water...
Windows are cracked and the house stays at 72*...
Keeps the damp out of the house...

Let the Harmon go out last night. Kind of sad, been burning steady since mid Oct. Will burn some wood if need to.

The last of the snow and ice on my property melted sometime this past week. Switched to oil & the heat pump a week ago rather than go get another ton of coal. Starter in my truck locked up, so that made the decision pretty easy.

I saw some earthworms for the first time this season earlier today, so the frost is finally gone.

Going to be 70 here today, but nights are still cold, I will burn until my bin is almost out, so another couple months, only burnt 126 pounds Monday-Saturday, so can’t complain

My hand fed went out yesterday. It's emptied, cleaned, and waiting for next season. Almost 5 months to the day, first year I made the One Match Club!

Still burning here as a basement dehumidifier....it's working well.

Got flooded Sat morning as we got about 2.5" in 2 hours. Basement window wells on the back side of the house filled up making the toads cling to the screens! The surface water running down the back hillside brought leaves from the woods which clogged the swale just enough to send it toward the house. Vac'ed up the water from the basement floor but the dampness remained. I thought I was on the last hopper after filling it last Thursday but decided to let it keep burning rather than use the dehumidifier.

Maybe another couple days of burning as this hopper load runs out.
