A homemade bar could be replicated out of steel flat stock to allow for operation as the search for OEM bar continues...

I don't have a welder, wish I did. I was wondering if i could just have someone weld the nipple back on?

If it's steel it's an easy weld job. Any garage should be able to get you back in the game.

do i have to shut down and disassemble to put it back in? it looks like it just sliding into the middle grates hole and then just sits in the slots on the other grates?? seems like it would fall out all the time???

I’m pretty sure you’ll have to shut down to reinstall. Unless you get lucky wiggling it around, but it’s been my experience that you will need to shut down.
