It has been about five years since I have been on the forum. I bought a new wood stove be cause I thought I hurt my shoulder lifting the coal bags. And I am tire of feeding the wood stove and stacking wood. So I am going back to using my coal chubby. I kept it out in the garage all these years and a little rust on it now. That I will remove the rust with steel wool and put some stove polish on it and it will look like new. I called Larry and told him I would like to buy a new one with a blower in it as soon as I can save up the money.
By the way where has Onedoller been?

and it took him 5 years to work that out. Get the wife to load the stove and you operate the cat n' nine tails. You are making her soft.

Well,Chub, just pick it up where You left off! That's it! Kinda like riding a bike,You don't forget..

Reset the stage by a good chimney flue cleaning&inspection. Get rid of that creosote. Get all new black pipe and whatnot to connect that rediscovered Chubby to the Thimble. See how You can engineer lifting Your Coal to make it a little easier on the 'Ol Bod!!

Onedollar imploded when the Manufacturer's Sections were removed from the Board. He is Alive,Well and moved the Hell out of Taxachussetts! I speak with him often. The Trainer,as I call him,is still the same Good Guy that he's always been! Welcome back, and Carry Forward!

Got rid of the wife 30 years ago, LOL But still have my chubby coal Stove. Hope to hook it up this fall. I called Larry last week. I have ha the chubby in storage in my garage and got to remove some rust on it and put some stove polish on it and make it look like new. And save up some money and buy a new one some day. Thanks for the welcome back. I also got to build a shed for the bag coal next to the house. I use to store it the garage but no room in there now and to far away from the house.

...... not to mention you'll be getting a lot more sleep... You could bring the coal in by the hod I guess or by the dry wall bucket ....a bit more walking though.

i injured my shoulder unrelated to coal. When winter came, everyday cleaning out the stove, and being near that intense
heat cured me after a winter of anthracite heat. It should be marketed as a cure for shoulder pain. The intense heat from coal, not wood, can cure all sorts of ailments, including high utility bills...:)

Got my chubby going and sold the Jotul wood stove. This year I will buy a new chubby. I talked to Larry the other day. The price of coal has gone up a great deal. I will stay with coal forever. Just wish Larry would bring back the brickstone.
