Where can I buy Anthracite nut bulk near Berkeley Springs WV.
Buying by the pickup load would be ideal.

Is Cushwa in Williamsport out of the coal business? I checked with the stove store in Martinsburg and they don’t sell it either. Funny how you watch the R/R coal cars going east but they just don’t stop in Berkeley County I guess?

I will explore the Williamsport lead, I accidentally found a coal supplier while in Hagerstown Maryland (30 minutes away). A company called Steffey/Findlay at 177 S. Burhans Blvd sells both bulk and bagged nut / rice / stove size coal. The bulk nut looked clean with very little fine mixed in. Fill up your truck bed and get weighed on your way out, perfect. The bulk nut is 248 a ton, bagged (65pd) 15.50 each. the counter guy couldn't tell me where the bulk coal comes from, said they purchase depending on price. It was reported most coal was purchased from nearby PA. mines.

Thanks for your reply Shikellamy.

very nice coal from Glen-Burn Harmony Mine just outside MT. Carmel Pa $170 a T for Nut picked up. nice + clean + prolly worth getting a dump load of 6T or so for anyone not to far away. one big load a year will work for many.

Hellman's coal service just north or waynesboro is cheaper then steffy and findlay. Worth the extra couple of miles if buying large quantities.

Thanks all,
$170 a ton sounds sweet. My neighbor has a large dump truck, maybe we can work something out. 👍
