Been ordering 4 tons of nut from Susquehanna last few years. The quality is great.
Haven't ordered since last December, as I have some leftover.
I was wondering how the bagged coal stacks up? To me, it seems the loose coal is a higher quality.
Home Depot, Lowes, Tractor Supply etc are all charge an arm and leg to seliver the pallets.
Maybe slightly easier to manage as I don't have a coal bin. Last few years, I have tarp down, some wood stumps making a circular diameter enough to manage the 4 ton small mountain..lol
I will not construct a bin, as I rather not look at it throughout the year.

All that I have burnt is bagged coal, of the four brands available around here two seem better then the others.
We have been using the Lehigh the last two years and have been pleased with it, prior to that the Blashak was good coal for us.

ive noticed bagged from tractor supply has more fines then bulk, but besides that the quality is just as good.

I’ve been burning the tractor supply stuff and it’s been good ( still learning the coal) it’s has the typical fines in it but burns great.

I am happy with Blashak nut but noticed the pieces seem to be much bigger this year. I am getting 6” chunks. I like the bigger pieces but not sure if they are better than smaller pieces. Never tried Lehigh.

When I got my first coal stove I bought a few bags of nut coal from tractor supply. The size was very inconsistent. It had everything from rice to 6" boulders and each bag was full of fines that would easily fill a coffee can. I purchased a ton of nut coal through Cornwall coal and it's consistent. I've just gotten to the bottom of the little bin and if I scrape the bottom I may get at most a half bucket of fines. Very happy with Cornwall Coal's coal.

I pick up my nut coal at Lehigh in Tamaqua and have had many more fines in it this year than any other year. The fines really don’t bother me too much though. I use a charcoal starter to scoop it out of my bin and most of the fines fall out the bottom

Had delivered 2 tons from Peoples Coal out of Stroudsburg Pa. today. Should last me hopefully through the winter. I have bdeen using up my supply from last year till now. This pile looks reasl good, can't wait to fire it up. Too warm today and this evening in the 40's, so not burning at all. Bring back the cold weather, I'm ready..

I’ve been using TSC but it seems it’s getting worse. So much useless small pieces especially fines.
I just got 20 bags of Blashack and what a difference for me anyway. The blashack is more consistent with size and seems to burn better.
