My house is 1150 sq feet. I bought the 50-93 first. My floor hearth was too small for it. The stoves I had prior were top exhaust. The hitzer being a self feed is rear vent exhaust and I had to push the stove forward to attach the chimney. I was also concerned that it was just too big for my house. So I bought a 30-95. It does a great job of heating the house. Average temps have been high teens/low twentys at night and low 30's daytime. I shake and top off @ 7am and shake and top off around 8pm. Poking the corners every few shakes when needed. I have been averaging about 1 30lbs bucket of coal a day. When it was single digits a couple weeks ago i used almost 2 30lbs buckets. My house is always 80 in the cathedral living room/ dinning/ kitchen area. And that's with the kitchen window open 3-4 inches all the time. Back bedrooms are @70-75 with doors open and a fan mounted on the ceiling blowing the warm air down the hallway. I don't use the blower fan it has - the stove cranks that much heat. The only time I've used the blower fan was when the temps dipped in the single digits and below and then my house was still holding steady 80 degeees with Stove box temp @450 otherwise the stove box temp averages 350.
Overall the 30-95 does a great job heating the house.
Personally I like the looks of the keystoker HFH 90. Physically it's the same dimensions as the 30-95. It has 2 shaker grates just like the 50-93. The 30-95 has one and the rear of the box is slanted. Overall I'm happy with the stove.
Hopefully this info helps.

Space cadet, are you using both a manual damper and one of the inline auto dampers on the same unit ?

I guess that the 50-93 has spoiled me as I've been disappointed with the 30-95 I picked up last Fall for my 20' X 48' shop. I'll be pulling it out in the next couple of weeks, putting it on Craig's List & reinstalling my Jotul 600. I've got plenty of wood to burn up & I know that the 600 will keep the shop toasty when I need to work in there.

I have both the manual and the baro damper installed, however the manual one i haven't needed to use. It's there just in case... Just in case i need to slow down the burn quickly. Or if I decide to burn some wood in it. If wood is to be burnt, I have a tin cover to close off the baro.
