hopper door gasket replacement

- Hand Fed Coal Stove: DS Machine Basement #4
Just fired my stove (DS basement #4) up for the first time this year and the hopper gasket popped lose. Can this be replaced on hot stove or do I need to let it go out and be cold to replace? Thanks for the help

Do it hot, not a problem.

I've done it both ways. Never had a problem doing it hot. After doing it hot, I actually think it's better.
