11th season, 3.5 tons yearly for the house, so comfortable and pleasant with 50-93. Easy light up with "Minit-lite " does the one match club still exist?

Idling 225° very confortable, sun had been rare recently, average more or less freezing at night, 40- 45° daytime. No more pool and grass, but mountain of fallen leaves....

You're right Oliver it's a great stove, mainly as a main source of heating for the whole house!

Mine will be burning next week. Just replaced all the door and hoppper seals, I’ll be checking the chimney and putting a new cap on this weekend, and setting up my delivery tomorrow. Excited to see what a difference the seals make in being able to idle it nice and low.

Sounds real good. Any gap where the shaker stub comes through the stove body S?

Yea, I tried a washer there for a few months. I may experiment with it again this year.

I found the perfect fitting washer. And that is the washer that fits on a 3500 pound rated trailer axle. It's a very thin washer. grind the little tab off that fits in the axle groove. Alien it square with the Hitzer grate stub, and tap it on. It'll slide right on snug. Perfect fit......

Do you think it makes that big of a difference? I picked up a few that fit pretty well, and thought about sticking some of the hopper door gasket to make it smooth/seal better.

Sounds reasonable S--give it a shot & let us know how it works-- I use just a filed out big washer--I'm curious on how the flat gasket works??

I didn't go searching till I found a washer from a trailer axle. I happen to have some laying around. Discovered the perfect fit by mistake. Being as thin as it is, one would hardly know it was there. Had to tap it on squarely, using a deep socket, or piece of pipe. Don't quite remember now. Made any gap completely disappear.
