Hi everyone, my name is Danny from Willington CT.
I’m new to the coal scene after much research on alternate fuels.
After searching for stoves within my budget I came across a used good Much Wenlock non boiler stove in good condition for $50 . Rebuilt it and repainted but noticed on owners manual it says nothing about seals on upper and lower doors and no evidence of any whatsoever.
Doors close very tight and that’s maybe just the way it comes?
Any one here have any experience with these stoves? I can’t seem to find any info on these stoves except owners manuals.
Thanks
Newbee and Much Wenlock stove

Close a dollar bill at points all around the ash or lower door.
If the bill is held tightly, as I believe it will, you should have no problem.

Welcome to the board.
This stove fits into the Coalbrookdale series, little to big.
Little Wenlock (very rare in the US)
Much Wenlock
Coalbrookdale Derby
Severn
Some have boilers some do not. The bigger AGA series is also part of the groups products.
Being a UK stove without US good agents, parts tend to be expensive. Castings are high quality so do not worry about those gaskets if the fit looks tight.
My problem with your stove is that where is the grate?. With coal stoves the fire must come from below and you need a grate shaking system. This stove also burns wood and the requirements for this are more flexible. I think I see a grate holding shelf but no grate. I also fail to see any shaking system so perhaps that burned wood. Sometimes people fail to maintain the ash bins and the grates deform with the heat. It could be that those parts are not in the pics.
Other posters have had this stove and seem to like it so search away. See at 30 secs in ..
Here is the cost of one bar (of many)
https://www.stoveworld.com/AGA-Coalbrookdale-Much ... aga011.htm
Or a set
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Aga-Coalbrookdale-Much-W ... XQueRRYZ9T
Plus big shipping cost.
If we can be of any more help let us know.

I have all the parts, I just had them out to move the stove into house, I still have to get the floor protection so I did not want to have all the weight in there.
Thanks for the replies.
