How do you remove the brick in a mk2? I picked one up used and it’s my first coal stove. The back brick is in bad shape. Other than that it looks great.

Hmmm, someone more familiar with the Harman is gonna have to advise on that one. On my HITZER I just gotta play, wiggle, angle, etc. PIA but they come out. Looks like ya gotta take out the sides to get the back ones--I'm bettin ya figured that out already!! LOL Just thinkin out loud my friend.

I just picked up a Mark II. You need to take the front ones out that are laying length ways out 1st, then remove the side bricks then you'll finally have enough room to slide the rear ones out.

Thanks guys, will give it a shot. So to be clear, there are 11 bricks, all the same size, right? Are the front corners bricks too?

The front corners in mine were square bricks about 1.5inx1.5in.

ElCamman nailed it take front bricks out by door, then
slide front side ones forward, till all sides are out. Then across back slide wiggle as need to get out ones loose and out. Bricks are usually all same length for standing upright, front ones you may need to cut one or two bricks to length. Wet tile saw best to use. Try to leave about a1/4" space all sides(OAL per side), air gap spaces between bricks evenly to be about so.. If not as they expand they will push hard together and crack.
