How quick is quick? I once made a metal plate to cover the front opening of a box stove while the stove was full and burning. I took the door off it's hinges so I could replace the door gasket...I suppose you could fabricate a metal cover where the glass goes if needed.

Does anyone know if you can replace just one strip of the glass or do you have to do all strips?

You can replace one strip, but also check if other strips are warped from over firing. Warped outward is the usual and can be checked with a straight edge.

I was able to get a piece from a glass company and the others seem ok. I was firing it back up and there was a piece of wood sticking out and it broke the one piece. I'm having the hardest time getting the screws in the right side of the door. So frustrating!

Woodsmans Parts should have the glass.

The screws will be metric. Use a bit of anti-seize on them going back in. You can always re-tap to US sizes.

best anti-seize for stove heat would be one with a graphite base.

NU, if you check out my old thread, search "Diary of a Surdiac", on page 12, (towards the middle bottom). I addressed this problem of changing the glass on your door. Lots of pics, and like FB suggested, I believe I did purchase the panes from Woodsman. Also there's a furniture store in New Jersey that use-ta carry Surdiac parts. I'm pretty sure I mentioned them in my thread, but can't remember them right now. If I can find the name, I'll repost it.
P.S. Found it. Myers Furniture. Like I said, it was a few years back. Not sure of them these days, but you could give it a try, if you need anything.

Thanks everyone! I replaced it but I see now I have tiny spaces between a few of the pieces. It doesn't seem to be affecting the burn at all. I wasn't able to drill out the old screws on a few so I'll do it when I shut it down this spring. What a bear it was to put on the door plate with the grill after. I finally got it!

We'd love to see a few pics of the stove in action if you could. ;)

Any good glass shop should be able to help.
