I have no idea. Could have been jewelry as it is at the local jewelry emporium. I haven't seen it yet, going to stop by tomorrow and take a look at it. The youngest does her social/media and advertising.

Crawford is one of the top-line stoves..... despite what Scott says.

But, does it have wood grates, or coal grates,..... or trashed grates ? If your thinking of getting it and it has wood grates, check with Wilson to see if he can supply coal grates first.

Using a good flashlight, carefully check the oven walls, top, and floor, and up under the base for cracks.

Check if any of the top plates are warped.

Might be bread warmers for the top of the stove--that'd be sweet. They are outstanding stoves!

Well I went to look at it. It appears all the trim and parts are there and has been installed there since purchased new, it's still hooked up and ready to rock. No cracks that I could find. It doesn't have the rear panel above the stove, not sure if that was an option. There was stove cement on the right side, I picked most of it off but I couldn't find any crack. It may be the door hinges were worn and they sealed it up? It's FREE to anyone that wants it and located at the green in the center of Guilford, CT. It is on the second floor but the stairs are very wide and it is right at the top of them. Let me know if you're interested.

Oh yeah, coal grates.

FREE! Don't let it go to the scrap yard CS. It'll be worth money to some-one. I'ld save it for some one, just to keep it out of the scrap yard.

That'ld be the challenge. My back is OK, but couldn't do it on my own. I would imagine it would have-ta be flipped over, onto some kinda dolley or sled, shove it down the stairs, and out the door. But getting it into my PU bed, wouldn't be fun. I do have a tow dolley that's low...Hmmmm. :annoyed:

The oven rack is there too. I think the hardware store next door probably sold it new.

Let me know if you need a hand. I dont think it's as heavy as it looks. And it could be disassembled fairly easy I would think.
