Hitzer 50-93 thermostat Question

Yes I did buy it used, there are 67 balls in the chain from the door to the loose end, not really sure how it came off but I will definitely crimp it tighter like Fred suggested

17-18 beads hanging is where mine has hooked up since I bought the stove new a few years ago. It's not even possible to hook it up at 28. Hitzer obviously changed the chain lengths at some point.
