As it comes up hotter and there is no danger of it going out, you might want to (gently) floss the grate so you can see a glow in every slot.

Pine box my wife found that she wanted to use for dog food. I thought out would be better for coal.
Holds 16. 5 gallon buckets. 2 weeks in mild weather. Right now about 10 days!

Here's the one I built this fall. Holds about 18 5 gal pails and has wheels so I can roll it to the front door and load from my outside bin. I'm about 2 weeks between refills with this weather.

Nice bin. Thats a lot of weight! 18 buckets is like 700# that must be a bear to wheel around.Homesteader wrote: ↑Thu. Jan. 04, 2018 2:19 pmHere's the one I built this fall. Thanks: Yeah I figured about 700 or so pounds. I put 4" hard rubber wheels on it and it rolls along the hardwood and tiles fairly easily. Got good strong 2x10 doug fir floor joists 16" oc. so not worried about the weight.
