Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can posatively ID this stove I have purchased. It looks to me to be a Locke / Warm Morning model (?) coal stove. Just a little guy... about 18” round and 28” high. I am in the process of doing a little tune up and restoration before I put it in my old 1870s brick building. It will probably be burning wood, but I AM in Northern KY, so coal isn’t too tough to find should I go that route. It sure seems to be in excellent condition overall. No boken firebrick I can see yet and no cracks etc. Just needs a bit of clean up it seems. However.... Any advice with clean up / tune up welcomed too. I restore stuff for a living, but not these. Ha!
Thanks for in any help!
Steve

Sold by Sears years ago. Curved brick lining. I used mine for years before the jacket rotted. I have all the cast parts in the basement. The shaker broke when I took it apart so I never replaced the jacket.

I also have the same stove still in the original shipping crate.
Is there a small plate attached to the back?

WOW!
Thank you very much. Great to positively ID it.
Great photos too.
Crazy.... your NOS one.
I noticed it used to have a tag on it but it is gone. Now I knowcwhat it was.
I found “HotBlast Model 20d” cast inside the feed door today under some rust.
It is cleaning up quite well. Love the look of the thing.

Sears never really made anything. Their stuff was always rebranded or made to order by a vendor.

You could always put a big bow on and give it for her as a Christmas present.michaelanthony wrote: ↑Sat. Dec. 16, 2017 8:13 pmSmall world, there is one for sale not far from me. They're asking $60.00....oh the wife would kill me!

I just paid $100 for a Warm Morning 120 in excellent condition. My Wife was not happy, I said the firebrick alone is worth $1200! I cant wait to install it in the basement and fire it up!michaelanthony wrote: ↑Sat. Dec. 16, 2017 8:13 pmSmall world, there is one for sale not far from me. If you buy the stove Ill let you hide at my house. Only a few hours from Maine. Just don't tell my Wife what you did! LOL! You see my quote below?
So far I paid $225 for a blower model Chubby and $100 for the Warm Morning. I had to buy a blower,Mica,Stove Paint, and gaskets for the Chubby. I bought the Chubby of craigslist, it was in Rowley Ma which is not far from where Larry Trainer lives.I called Larry around 7pm and he said to stop by. He inspected the stove, sold me the parts I needed, and gave me a few pointers. I got to see his workshop, pretty sweet! I have less than $400 invested all told and I'm heating 1800sqft. With the Warm Morning in the basement I will have heated floors and a softer heat overall upstairs. tending times should be measured in days not hours. So psyched! If you see a good deal and it's less then you'd spend for dinner at a fancy restaurant I say go for it! Worse comes to worse you clean it up turn around and sell it. Someone who needs to heat their home gets a deal.

The stove looks great! Nice restoration.Reminds me of a Coal Chubby. I really think that the round stoves burn coal better than the square ones do.stephenpate wrote: ↑Sat. Dec. 16, 2017 6:23 pmWOW!

At one time "Sears has everything" was true. They sold everything from kit houses and automobiles and everything in between. You name it! I own a 1966 Sears Suburban Tractor,it's solid piece of equipment. Sad to say, I don't think Sears will be around much longer. The Catalog Stores were the Amazon of their day.coaledsweat wrote: ↑Sat.
