Here's a photo of my Orbon Tileona #244, at low and slow fire. The only underfire air comes from the shaker axle openings and the slightly loose ash door register. Over the last 48 hrs. I've only used 12lbs. of chestnut. The house stays between 68 and 74...depending on outside temps. The fire is staying very consistent. The amount of ash is very slight. When shaken the embers drop right away.
I did the waxpaper seal method using Red Devil stove sealer, on both doors and checking after removing the waxpaper to seal how good it sealed. I had to do some minor touch-up but it's all good now. I could see a very nice savings.
So, how have you guys been?

dang nice job, that is a serious idle you have going there. seems the stove is also very well sized and suited to the envelope too.
i like that particular stove, the design shape and finish really strikes a chord for me.
we've been having nutty warm weather this month and i've been running about as little primary as the bi metal will hold and .015 on the mano. in direct draft pretty much all month.

checked the ash output...only 1.5lbs. over 60 hrs. now. Still staying at 71*F, all day, all night. I just love it.
here's a pic of the fire, unfed, unshaken nine hours later.
