I had never seen that movie. Pretty light and funny. Nice!
You lost me on that one Jen. (but don't take it personal. It doesn't take much to get by me. :| )

Enjoy the weekend Boss :D
Week-end? Seems to be a martian mile away, from the rushing, and driving to make times and dates over the next couple-a days. I will definitely be enjoying the week-end. Hopefully with a relaxing coal fire.
(TOTP...and the saga continues)

"FIRE IN THE HOLE"! :P
Finally, all conditions were favorable, so altho I'm a little late to the party, (compared to you die hard dedicated members), the 111 is full throttle, and making heat...again. :D
Oats not expected to rise above mid 30s for highs, and dip sometimes into the single digits for the lows. So the test now, is to see how long I can stay off the liquid fuel, and abuse the black rocks.

Once again, I had to put the pieces of the stove back together that I remove in the spring, to allow easier cleaning. I've always had trouble removing my circular grate, and draw center, and reverse assy, is no different. This time it was as if I actually knew what I wuz doing, 'cause it wasn't too bad going back in. I also replaced the mica, again and seems I just can't keep it clean. We'll see what happens this season.
And I once again used "generic" Matchlight, (from Stop and Shop...6 lb bag), which when lit drew an .07 draft in about 45 seconds. With both dampers wide open (direct draft) in less than 10 mins I started piling in the LeHigh stove coal. Took roughly an hour to be full and making heat in BH mode, and once again we're off to the races. It's nice to know my base chambers aren't full of ash, and the stove is clean. Lets see how long I can keep it like that.

LOL. Welcome back to my thread Paulie. Remember my location. I'm in the south, (southern N.E.), so our weather is a bit balmier than the northern climates.
(Hey, where's my TOTP?) :?:

The 111 saw about a week of service, and then I let it die. I wuz on OT at work, didn't keep up with the cleaning, came home to a black hole, and the OATS had been forecasted to be in the 50ish mark...for well over a week. (And has continued into the end of this month). So there she sits, taking up space, waiting for a chance to beam again. It appears the cold (sort-a) will return, when we ring in the new year, so hopefully I'll get her lit again, once the holiday Kaos diminishes.

You guys that shut down often...what do you do for heat, oil? Can’t you just idle down the stoves? Gotta be a pita to shut down and start up often.

I have oil heat Tom. I don't restart my 111 until I know it'll be running for more than a week.
