Getting supplies to hook up this boiler...my cheapness wants to use 1" pex to supply and return water to my existing furnace...the run will be about 50 '...from my garage to the basement...all inside the house . Will be using a grundfos circulator pump. Do you think 1" is sufficient ....my sensible side says bigger is better but I don't want to waste $$$. 1 1/2 is much more expensive....

1" pex is supposedly only capable of carrying 70-80k of btu.Depending on your house, you may be ok with 1",
My leaky house of 1400 sq.ft. has heat & hot water supplied by 1" pex coming from the boiler & 1"pex returning to the boiler & there is 180' between boiler & house.

Couple of questions ...about to tap into my existing heating system to tie-in my efm wcb24-1.. plan on teeing into the drain for the return and teeing off the prv for the output. I dont want to mess with the copper plumbing already installed on the furnace....any opinions about doing this? Acceptable or no?
