- Hand Fed Coal Boiler: BUCKET A DAY water heater
- Hand Fed Coal Stove: Warm Morning 414A
- Coal Size/Type: PEA,NUT,STOVE /ANTHRACITE
- Other Heating: Ground Source Heat Pump and some Solar
Having fans is mandatory for any insert, or tons more of heat is lost.
Best heat, fans or no fans is had outside the fireplace.
Look at ways to still use it's flue if space in front is enough to accomodate.

A length of oval flex pipe is sold for this...Google is your friend.

The opening on top of the insert is 5"x7" rectangle but doesn't appear that a collar will work... Everything I have seen online, and especially here, points to these stoves/inserts as being top of the line and absolute heat beasts. I want to put an insert in my fireplace but know nothing about heating with coal other than what I have read online and here. I just need to find a place to get parts for it as I know that it is missing the blowers.

As for having all the parts, the "2 banking plates" are a must have for burning coal...useless w/o them.
