As I was browsing through an old Lehmans catalog, I came across this unique (?) shovel. I was wondering if it actually had a purpose when tending our stoves? Maybe during shakedown, and some live ones fall into the ash pan, they could be scooped out "cleanly" (?) and put back into service?
I don't know. I guess people will try to sell anything.
Anybody see a use for this thing? (P.S. Now that I look at it, it looks like a "pooper scooper")
I'll have to admit, Lehmans does have some cool stuff.

That, plus for those who don't want any fines getting in their stove. And it can also be used to recover some of the unburned coal bits in the ash to run them back through the stove again.

Good point Paul. Or I could also use it to sift through the fines, and retain some of the pea sized bits and return them to the nut hod.
AS of right now, I fill one with stove size, and one with nut. And alternate, depending on conditions.
