The 3 links I posted earlier have some real good info in them.SawDustJack wrote:The report I posted says otherwise. "The Energy Information Administration (2003) reports that Colombia has proven recoverable coal reserves of 6.8 billion metric tons, of which more than 94 percent is anthracite and bituminous coal." One of the mines, Cerrejón Norte, is responsible for over half the exports and just happens to be owned by a subsidiary of Exxon.lzaharis wrote:Nope, they only have sub bituminous and bituminous down there.

Colombia or Columbia?
Isn't it still illegal to do open business with Colombia?
I know we used to have to get "special permission" from the State Dept to work with Colombia. Certainly when we were there...with army escorts everywhere.
It's been a while, maybe things have changed? I doubt it, but I never thought we'd send BILLION$$$ to Iran, either
