Hand Fed Coal Boiler: Hitzer 50-93

Post by Bundy » Wed. Sep. 28, 2016 7:28 pm

I got a really good deal on a brand new older model Hitzer 50-93. Looking to install stove pipe and would like some recommendations as to the best way to run it. Champion 6" single wall. Existing cider block walls, with a 7" I.D round clay thimble at 67 1/2" center-line horizontal exit. Elbow or tee with cap at stove exit, where to place baro-damper. 27" flue exit center-line from stove.

T at stove pipe exit at stove. You do NOT need a Baro with that stove. You have a bimetallic thermo in the back.

My first post but I have been a gawker for a while. Did the Graigslist thing this Summer and spotted a 50-93 gold door and 30-95 with blower. Worked out a deal and my brother has the 30-95 (his house is 10 years old my is 50). Both for $2,500. Thanks for your help guys.

Nice deal B. Enjoy a toasty winter! :) If anything comes up, that's why we're all here.
