Hot Blast Furnace ?

can anyone fill me in on theses things , I seen some for 1100.00 sounds cheap are they worth it ? :D

Please don't do that to yourself... they are wood burners that can, with a lot of struggle and attention be made to 'sort of' burn coal.

Firebox is designed to burn wood, not coal, the grates are too small and weak, the firebrick is 'V' shaped on the bottom, the firebox is too large,, takes a LOT of coal to cover it deep enough to burn well at all...

Do a search for 'hotblast' on the forum.. and read up on it

I made the mistake of making a very expensive all Stainless Steel boiler modeled after the same style of firebox... What a mistake...

I would look for a good COAL burner, all hand fired coal burners will burn wood very well, but most wood burners won't burn coal very well...

I'd steer clear..

Lots of good used stoves out there, Keep looking.
