Just kidding, Bituminous (soft coal) if it isn't to hard to get and deal with.
For Anthracite (hard coal) there's better choices.

Now, that's a find. A stove that has never been used. Bituminous is what this stove is designed for and if I could get it cheap, that's what would go in it.

Is it restorated? The bolts and nuts look so new.
I had aspected to see black bolts not galvanized.
But still a very nice find, it wil keep you warm this winter.

A coal dealer held on to them, then passed away.
So it's still on the original wooden skid never been used.
