Well, that was a short summer. The range was out for only a week and I just restarted it.
We've only warmed up to low 50's outside. House heat has been kicking on just to hold 64 indoors. The sun's out, but it's damp and chilly. Weather report says we're due to go down below freezing tonight and cold tomorrow too.
Melissa said, " I don't like cooking on the gas stove anyway, why not restart the range ? With about a ton still left in the bin, don't have to ask me twice !!!

Fer Sure! Your Better Half is Amazing! She's a True Keeper when She sez she likes the Coal Stove a lot better! As we speak,we're getting ready for Halloween here! It's been bouncing between 45*-50* during the Squall Lines that have been coming through. Made it down to 37* last night, and I'm a little concerned about a Frost/Freeze tonight....Not bad when we hit 91* this past week,Huh?

After I got the stove up to operating temps she said, "Now, I know how to cook again!" She grew up learning to cook on her folk's early R&S Acorn range and does not like modern stoves - gas, or electric.
So, . . as they say, when life gives you lemons (weather-wise), bake another batch of lemon scones, which she did.

Woke up to 30 degrees.
It's only getting into the 40's during the day - heavy overcast with a good chance of rain. Weather reports looks like we're not going to start to warm-up until mid-week at the soonest. Yuck !
