I have a Hitzer 30-95 and was curious what others use for coal? I being using Kimmel Nut Coal seems to work good was thinking of trying some Pea Coal. Didnt know what the best people have found to use. Not sure if one burns hotter or more efficient than the other? Any ideas ?

Nut burns hotter and vanishes sooner as a consequence. I don't think the Hitzer stoves grates will work well with straight pea. It is not recommended by Hitzer.

Im agreeing with Fred on this one  ... its a pain in the ass but I find a nut pea/mix in my 404 seems to maintain a hotter/longer burn time than either one alone.

They have nut & pea listed in the brochure, and I see no reason why it wouldn't burn fine. I am burning some nut that is on the small side with some fines in the 50-93 in the shop and it is doing fine with it. The stove might take a little longer to respond with pea, but that is about it. Go ahead and give it a try.

I run straight pea in the early fall, then switch to a mixed pea/nut range mix in the late fall then swap it out to nut in the winter, then I swap back to a mix and then straight pea in the spring before finally shutting down for the summer.

Also DS does not recommend pea at all as it usually falls through the grates, but I find if I keep some ash on the grates it works well.

I burn pea in my 30-95. The 30-95 is a little less efficient than the 50-93. I find the pea slows the air flow some, making for a nice burn. Up until last year, I've always burned nut in the 30-95. I played around with pea, and I think I like it better. Both sizes burn good in the 30-95. All I can say is try some. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Oliver
