Where can I get a bi-metal draft regulator such as advertised on some stokers and handfired units, like on DS stoves? Im talking about the type that doesnt require electricty, but relies on the expansion coefficient of metal to regulate a damper opening.

I mean you were rude in your reply. Just because I don't know what something is, doesn't mean I go blasting someone for using words I don't understand.

Perhaps a more serious question is, what is your application?

I got one from Hitzer, like rude crude Freetown Fred suggested. (Don’t mind Fred, he’s worried about getting the hay in with all this rain, and after that’s done he’ll be nice again. Last year I called in a drone strike on him, but recalled it at the last minute when I realized he was kidding.)
Another place to try would be DS Machine. I don’t know if they would sell you the parts, though I don't see why not. The advantage is that the DS parts are all ready to bolt on, whereas the air intake tube from Hitzer does not have any flanges attached to take the bolts.
I think the phone number for DS Machine is 717-768-3853.

Don't mind them Fred, central Maine as has had an Ann Landers (Miss Manners) school for years, they are just sooo delicate up there. Just keep calling a spade a spade, it is not a digging implement - geez. Now my question stands what is he going to use it on?

I didn't think Freetown was rude. I chuckled at his response. I thought it was funny.

You asked what I meant by "I guess" so I explained. I wasnt sure whether to thank you for the information or tell you to go jump in the lake. Expansion of metal is eighth grade earth science. Maybe you were absent that day, but most farmers ive known arent dumb asses. But I guess as long as you throw a couple smiley faces at the end, you can say whatever you want. :D :) 8-)
