Hi folks my wife found and purchased a little stove today that appears to be for coal, it has what must be a water jacket with two pipes coming out of the rear. It says, 'Hot Spot' on the front and has what I assume to be a model number of, 185-180 on the top.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Jack

Here are two, I took in a wheelbarrow, the legs are off and the tops are not there, I have them, just not there in the photos.
Thanks!

We need to see photo's of this unit ("HotSpot" is such a generic term used for almost everything). We always love a good "what is it" investigation around here (its like a game of who done it and we all want to win!) We equally love new members here...so let me be the first to welcome you to our forum ;)

Hi folks, have been to Texas and back, sorry for no reply.
First, it is a 'Hot Pot', not a 'Hot Spot'.
I will take some photos tomorrow with my digital camera and post them here.
Thanks for the reply's so far!
Jack

Is this your stove on Utube? The guy in the video calls it a furnace, a fire place, a wood stove, and a coal stove. It looks like it is set up to burn coal with a spinner in the lower door. Can't see the grate in the video but it sure acts like a coal stove.

We've had this Hot Pot in our garage for quite a while thinking we would get to use it. Giving it to my husband's cousin so he can use it outside on his homestead.

Wow, old thread, but interesting. I've seen a number of stoves with this shape and design from different manufacturers. Perhaps even today? A friend had a very similar model called a "Fatso" many years ago. He partially heated a loft as an old Bowery pioneer in 1970's Manhattan.
