Shot this tonight at 7 pm, hadn't touched it since 5 am this morning. Bottom vents left open about 1/4", manual damper pushed all the way in. Blower kept at lowest setting. This was just before shaking, dumping, and refilling.

Enjoy:

Thanks fellas. I don't like to let it go that long, I try to go 5 to 5 every day, but last night I had to get my workout in, then get the boy downstairs to the treadmill for his mile run, and it was garbage night so I was running late. This morning it was 78 in the great room and 74 down the hall, so it holds nice. I keep the fan on the lowest setting, so when it gets real cold, like below 0, (24 right now) I will crank the fan up. :D

And the wife had the great room and the kitchen windows cracked open as well...

No idea what temp I am running. The stove connects to a "Dial-a-temp" in the wall which I turn to adjust the fans to barely blow or go full speed. Today the wife had the windows open and the fan on the lowest setting and when I got home from work it was 86 in the great room and 80 down the hall. This is after 12 hour of burning! I put a 5 gallon bucket in each fill-up, coal size is Image or a bit smaller.

Area heating is about 2500 square feet. Our great room is a cethedral ceiling that is about 25' high that opens into the dining room and kitchen. Then a hallway that leads down to the master bedroom. There are also open steps that lead up to the upstairs bedrooms that you can see the great room from, so it is open. The upstairs is 90+ and the kids keep their bed room doors closed at night! :D I use an electric heater in the finished basement to keep it at around 55 since we don't currently use it. Eventually when the kids are teens, that area will be heated as well as we have a fireplace down there too.

Yeah, he is only 8 so we are adding speed and distance each time he runs. He is up to 4.2 mph. I want him at 8 minute miles for 3 when football season starts next year. He is already deadlifting 115 for 3 sets of 10 and weighs around 85 pounds, so he is a little beast.

He jumps to the 9-10 league next year so we are going to be ready to knock some heads!

Rw, you got a big ceiling fan on that cathedral ceiling blowing down at least on low? Don't teach the boy all your moves, you might need a trick up your sleeve down the road somewhere. :box:  toothy

with 30 to 35# a day stove is at 250* and the house is 77* up stairs (the stove is in the 1st floor) right now and 35* outside. Is all the coal that big or just a few pieces? I like my stove and I know you like yours they will throw out some serious heat if you need it to and they are easy to run but you should get a thermometer for the front of that stove, thanks for the info.Keepaeyeonit
