Snow took the coop down a few yrs back. That doors about all I could salvage--you know---everything but the oink

Peter, what type of vehicle did you drive on your 700km journey? I am assuming it is diesel fuel powered? What size engine and how far can you go on a liter of fuel? And how fast would you typically travel on a farm country road? Nice stove.

Hey Cap I have a toyota corolla stationwagon, with a 1.4 litre diesel engine.
On the drive to bavaria I drove around 140Km/h and the car and engine run nice at that speed.
usage is then 18 Km/litre. wich give me a little smile because it cost € 1.53/ litre here and in Germany.

Peter, that converts to 68 miles per gallon, at 87 miles per hour which is very fast if driving in the Eastern US. Our roads are not designed for that high speed due to volume of cars, hills & curves. Your Toyota does get exceptionally good fuel economy. There are no autos or motorcycles that can exceed those numbers that I am aware for sale here. What is wrong with my country? I have never even seen a Toyota wagon. I do not believe they are available here. Certainly not a diesel model.

I have owned a few Mercedes in my time, '82 & '84 station wagons, '83 & '84 300 seden turbo diesel models, the 3.0L with automatic transmission. The manual transmission models were never exported from Germany to the US. Fuel economy in the MB's were only about 30% of what your Toyota achieves. So, not real valuable models to hang on to.

Hey Cap, while commuting the average mileage is a little bit better because I usely don't drive that high speeds because the roads are way to bussy.
But now with the colder weather is coming I usaly see a litle increase of diesel usage.
I have added a few pictures of the car where I bought it.

Here is what I drive & ride.

That looks like some very nice size bituminous coal there. It's often hard to find it in the larger sizes, at least it was a few years ago when I was in north Germany.

The coal burns verry nice in the little Turkish stove I have now, with some air over the fire I have hardly any smoke on the chimney
I hope it will burn as good in the new Efel.
BTW, I should receive a phone call this week for delivery, so next week I pick up the phone and will ask where it stay's.
