Coal Stove Theft

Modern and vintage hand fired coal stove are similar to a wood stove and in some cases can burn either. They need to be regulated and fed by hand usually every 12 to 24 hours depending on your usage. They require no power to operate making them ideal for rural settings with long power outages.

I guess you have never been attacked in your home by intruders, I have. I was robbed and nearly beaten to death. It's not a good feeling. It's not paranoia, it is just being aware.
I'll bet the veiw from your Ivory Tower is pretty nice.

I especially enjoy the stories of people electrocuting themselves trying to steal copper wire. You just never can tell if that baby is live. A few years ago some guy climbed a tower to cut a wire that turned out to be live. I guess it lit him up pretty good; luckily he had an accomplice who was able to notify the authorities about the corps hanging in the tower.

That doesn't affect the numbers at all William. I'm sorry for your experience. :( I'd bet your house is more secure today.

Every year we would put our pumpkins the kids carved out and every year kids would take and smash them. I moved them right onto the porch next to my door and they still took and smashed them. The dog would bark and I would get outside as fast as I could but all I would hear is footsteps running away and laughter. So I decided to give them baited pumpkins instead. I had fish line hooked to a string of cans.....all that did was make them smash them right there on my porch and I still didn't catch them. But I did finally get them to leave my pumpkins alone. I again put baited pumpkins out there but this time I smeared them full of dog#*@%. They took the bait, my dog barked and I made it out in time to hear footsteps in the distance then I heard a lot of cussing and swearing, one of them even called me an @$$hole for some reason. I never lost any more pumpkins after that.

Thieves should be shot. They serve absolutely no purpose in society. :mad2:
The laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are
neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. ...Such laws make things worse
for the assaulted and better for the assailants, they serve rather to
encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with
greater confidence than an armed man."

It wasn't so long ago that we hung horse thieves. While I am not saying we should hang someone for stealing, but a good 9mm shot to the knee would forever serve as a reminder to the thief as to why he is limping. No question as a society we have gotton to soft on crime of all kinds.

Hanging would be my choice, or a good kill shot. Knees heal & perps come back. At least I would if I were that low of a scum-bag. :( Yes OD, we unfortunatly have---we can thank the libbers for that situation. I love that Sherriff out in Arizona or where ever the heck he is from. :)

Sheriff Joe Arpiao, Maricopa County ( Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe, etc.) AZ - best place I've ever lived. Still trying to figure out why I came back to this state ....

Sorry for your loss. I know how it feels.
I had 2 toolboxes stolen right out of my truck this year. Right in front of my place. I had motion floodlights too. I didn't even realize it until days later. I leave stuff at customer's houses all the time. I eventually realized they were stolen but couldn't figure out where. When I saw a cop come up our street I stopped him. He knew they had the toolboxes at the police station. Some dirtbag sneak-thief had parked on the dark street in front of the place. They caught him coming out of a car up the street. The officer was cordial and cool, said it was a homeless dude. Guess he lived in his car.
