I Need Advice for My Keystoker HF Insert 90
I load it up and the most I can get the stove to burn is 8 hours. If I let the stove burn more than 8 hours without adding anymore coal it will still burn but not hot enough to ignite fresh coal. I have the stove dampened all the way down. The stove throws a lot of heat even on low, but I was told by a rep from keystoker that it should burn for up to 20 hours. I am using quality chestnut size coal. Does anyone have advice? I paid someone to install it and I am wondering if it wan not installed properly. It looks like it is.

How much coal are you burning in that 8 hour period? The usual coal scuttle holds about 20 pounds.
You should be able to burn that or less in 24 hours with the stove dampened down and with 12 hour tending times. If you are going through a lot of coal with the air almost closed it could indicate a lack of air tightness.
