Coal Ash Pile

There has been much discussion on the forum about what to do with our coal ash. If you live in New Mexico, you might make a butte out of it, and cover it with dirt.

yes smitty that would look good in the pot holes on my dirt road that is where mine go 2 32 gall rubbish barrels so far this year that's from the stove shop haven't lit off the house yet fri afte rt' giving

Here is where alot of our local coal fired plant goes to. Little Blue Lake. Very interesting place. They have recently expanded and several of my friends houses were bought and demolished and are now part of the lake. It's taken on a bit of a different appearance lately. They must be doing something different with the chemestry. The idea is it's pumped as a slurry and the solids are deposited and eventually fill the lake.

There is also a drywall plant that uses much of the ash they built next door. Wild to think you house is built out of coal ash.
