I pulled a heater out of my chicken coop and would like to know just what kind of heater this is. It`s a Kenmore model 101 100431. I can`t find any info on the net about it. Is it a wood stove or coal stove? Any information about it and how to operate it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Please open it up and post some pictures of the inside and a few of the other sides as well. Since it's mounted on wheels and doesn't appear to have a chimney or direct vent opening visible (guessing since the other sides aren't viewable) best guess is it's kerosene.
Edit ... or is it sitting on a dolly and not mounted on wheels desingned to make the unit mobile?

Definitely a coal stove. Looks like it has to be loaded through the top.

Ok thanks, now how exactly how is this operated?
Please forgive me for my ignorance. I should`ve watched my grandfather when I was growing up. Is it even worthwhile to use. I am an animal lover and have a bunch of animals in the shed that people threw out when they got tired of them or couldn`t afford them anymore. I am just trying to keep them warm for the winter and times running out to get it set up if it`s gonna help for this winter.

It was good enough for your grandfather...
If nothing is cracked and everything is moving that needs to move...
The stove will make heat...
And the critters will be warmer...
Coal burning basics apply to every stove...
A manual would help describe how that particular stove controls the burn...
In short if you want to heat the critters home, coal will be very worthwhile...
Check out the stickies at the top of the hand fired section...
You can also search for terms like 'how to start a coal fire'
One of the members keeps his sheep warmer with a coal stove up in Maine...

That is unlike any Warm morning I have seen. I don't think it is.
Looking at the back there does not seem to be a flange to fit the smoke pipe so fitting one might be a problem.
Determine how the grate is shaken. You might need a crank or tool of some kind.
There is a rotary knob on top which I am guessing is to control the air intake. Inspect and see how or if it works.
What is the diameter of the fire pot and how large and how tight is the structure you intend to heat?
Where are you located? As Fred likes to say "don't worry nobody will steal you"
