Quick question, how can the baro be wide open with no wind? need to check your settings, this should not happen. :?

Fastcat, not all units do well with a baro. My 32' brick chimney keep the baro open when dead calm outside. Switched to a MPD late last year, problem solved.

Ditto--never messed w/ a baro on my Hitzer. My MPD works just fine--max performance in my situation. It's about that learning curve. I tend not to use things that are not appropriate for my individual set up just because they are available & work wonders in other set ups.

Per FASTCAT's recommendation , I will install the MPD when I shut down and cool off the unit this week. I will cap the Baro and run some curves with the MPD.

Then the final decision will be made, I hope.

With the two (2) devices installed I can really experiment with various conditions.
