I promised Freetown Fred pics of my old Hitzer 30-95 installed in my new home about a month ago. It took catching a cold to get me to stop working on my new house long enough to take the pics and post them. The installation is the same as in my old house, but the wall behind it is of a new design in keeping with my move into the Adirondack mountains.

I have had a wood fire in it to cure the paint on the stove and pipe and the gasket cement on the hopper door.

Looks great. Just needs a dog or *censored* cat asleep in front of it.

Excellent Grizz,

Fred, Sounds like you are sicker than I am. Get well soon. The floor does look like super wide pine planks, but it is realy parical board and glue strips from carpet seams. It will be oak before winter is over. No my house is not logs. It is concrete blocks with vinyl siding. The "logs" are 1-1/2" thick fake logs (but real wood). The frame around the logs is made of 4X4 spruce, gouged to look like adze marks and assebled with pegged mortice and tennon joints.

framco b, Once I fire the Hitzer up my grand-dog will spend a lot of time in front of it. He lives right next door and comes over for a doggie treat every day. :D

Thanks Steve, it's probably more like the seasonal residents decorate than the locals. But I like it. toothy
