Very Happy with my chubby, I have had a continuous burn since Oct 15th. I had a few warm days where I had to open the windows  , but now that the cold weather has set in its great. I don't anticipate using my oil furnace at all this year :D . Its 19° out side right now, stove is at 500°, and my 1500sq. cape is at a comfy 75°. I thought this stove was going to help with supplemental heat, but it has become my primary. It heats to your bones I can't ever see using oil again. Best investment I've made so far! I must say this site has been very helpful and instrumental for me in learning how to operate my stove :). Thank you all for you questions and answers.

Jim

Shhhh...
When the insurance inspector comes it is only a secondary heat source...
And you only burn a ton or so...
Really....

I don't have a Chubby but the same thing happened when I got my Mark II. I was looking for someway to take the edge of our Natural Gas bill and lo and behold I came to find that the stove not only could heat my entire house to a higher temperature but it could do it for a whole lot less money, too. What a concept! I'll never go back to another source of energy for my home heating needs. In fact, we are planning our next house to be built around a coal based heating system. Take care, Lisa
