If so, what kind of stove ?
Do you notice a difference in drafts across the floors etc ?
Does the fire burn any better/worse?
Im considering an intake cause I when I get down on the floor to do things I feel a powerful cold draft going across all my floors.
Anyone Using Outside Air Intake for Coal Stove ?

I don't, but would like too It can only be a win,win sitaution. Keep the heat in without sending it up the chimney, and less of a vacuum to pull in the cold air. Insulate the pipe coming in, their is nothing to loose

A buddy of mine has a Keystoker stove in his kitchen. He built an air intake that takes incoming air through a 3" pipe connected to the cellar. It made a huge difference for him. He used to have a cold draft coming from under the cellar door making his hallway cold, now the draft goes the other way and his hall is so much warmer.

It can also be caused by cold return air to the stove. Anything you can do to provide an alternative route for the return air will help.
