It will take a few hours for the paint to cure and oils to evaporate. Let the family leave, light her up, open the windows and enjoy the "NEW" feeling. A couple of beers would be a bonus. After the a few hours invite the family back and enjoy the heat

Slowly bring the stove to 500* and the paint will set...
If you only cook it to 350*...
You will get it smelly when you go above that...
Four hours and the smell was gone on mine...
Windows wide open.
Disconnect the Smoke Dectors while you do this...
