Hand Fed Coal Stove: Hitzer 30 95

We live in SE CT and haven't got the Hitzer going yet, have been spending a few days in Maine, Portland, Freeport areas and it is just as warm up here as home. Today a bunch of contractors were working outside with shorts and tee's, haven't seen many smoking chimneys up here on the Maine Coastal Area yet.

Yeah LL will definitely take the greenbacks away. Can't believe the prices there these days! :o

I usually try to wait until mid to late November to light up, but I couldn't take it anymore & lit up yesterday afternoon. Last year I lit up Nov.29th. A 58° house makes it difficult to get out of bed in the morning. ;)

Quality wise, you can't beat LL---I'm usually a Salvation Army kinda shopper--but,when it comes to these old feet--I don't play---I bought a pr of mocassins & a couple months down the rd noticed some stitching coming loose--next time I went to Pa to see the grandkids,I took the moc's back to LL outlet in Lower Saucon & they replaced them--no muss,no fuss--along with sincere apologies & a $10.00 credit on my next purchase--which might be in 5 yrs or so :) --didn't get that 2" of snow--just a dusting & a lot of flakes coming down--signs of things to come :)

I am ready to start burning something besides fuel oil...called for a fill-up today and got the great news that No. 2 is now $2.80 per gallon. I could fire up the hand-fed, but it would roast us out half of the day.
