If it's in good shape, exact age is not all that important.
Does it have a manufacturer's information sticker? My Harman has a plate about 8" by 8" on the back with model number, serial number, date of manufacture, and other useful information such as "caution, hot while in use".
If you can find the serial number, you could call Hitzer, or post it here and maybe someone on the forum can compare it to another of known age.

Your best bet is to contact Hitzer directly with the serial number. The number is punched on the plate, mounted on the back of the stove, above the blower.

We just repaired a 15yr old 50-93 on Friday, and the parts from the new stoves fit. I don't think much has changed on them, since they starting making it. I do know the older models used to have a huge hopper lid that took a 1 1/2" gasket. The new style is cast and takes a 1/2" gasket. Not sure what the cut off date was, but it was 15+ years ago.

My 50-93 is 10 years old. It has the smaller gasket.

My tag number is WH- 001394---tested April 1993---it has the small 1/2" hopper door gasket----hopper door is 7 1/4 X 11 1/4---it didn't have the gasket when I got it so I called Dean at Hitzer & he told me to use the 1/2 " gasket---it works fine

I E-mailed Hitzer, as well to get some info on a hitzer #75 & couldn`t believe how fast I got a reply, turns out the 75 is basically the same as a 82 just earlier & most if not all parts are interchangeable. Guess I`ll be joining the hand fed club if I ever get this thing up & running.

My 50-93 model is from 1993 and still going strong. I replaced almost everything inside the burner except for the grates and Hitzer has always been informative!! The older models didn't have firebrick down in front below the door and so I installed some brick there and purchased the bar. Good stove!
