Vogelzang Furnace and Coal?

I have a Vogelzang Norseman furnace, I want to burn coal and cant find Bituminous coal in my area. thats the coal that they recommend using. has anyone tried or used anthracite in one?

A friend of mine burns nut sized anthracite in his...seems to work well for him. Give it a try!

If you tell where you live I'll bet someone here could give some sources.

I live in Northeast PA, just north of Scranton, I have called 15+ coal dealers most were 75 to 100 miles west and south, and all say not in this part of pa. I found one with Blacksmith coal for 280 a ton.
