There will be new pictures this weekend. I've been working crazy late this week so I've got nothing done. Last night I didn't even get home last night. I walked in the door at 1am and I'm gonna do the same thing tonight.

Before you do anything else. I might suggest a little nap is in order.I'm On Fire wrote:There will be new pictures this weekend. I've been working crazy late this week so I've got nothing done. Well, considering the present economy, I suppose you should be happy to have all this work. But yeah, make sure you get some rest, nothing worse than working on a fun project and being too tired to enjoy it.
cabinover, Chubby all in pieces !!! Sooo... when are we going to get it put together?

Hopefully this weekend. Have to find some sand to blast with. I don't need black beauty, that's way more cutting action than necessary. Doors are done, top is started, and body is cleaned.
I'll start another thread with pics. Gotta get off my duff and order new mica for the viewing door.

Yeah, I need sleep bad. I worked until 11 last night. I get to do it all over again tonight too. I'm beat. That is the one good thing about my line of work. The entire economy could collapse hard and I'd still have a job. The country needs life safety inspectors.
The body of my stove is pretty much painted. I need to clean the bottom of it yet and paint that part. I've gotta finish the rest of the legs, the top and put the new gasket on the ash door.

Ha-ray, both you guys are making progress. I'll be looking forward to the pics.
I think these Chubby's are pretty easy stoves to work on, especially with the fire pot and grate out of them. All the pieces are easy to move around when it's all apart. I know I enjoyed fixing my up.
Enjoy guys

I know I'm having fun working on it. And even completely assembled they aren't terrible to move around. Not like a wood stove or anything.
My wife just called me, her exact words were; "You got something, a parcel package from a company with the name "Trainer". Do you know what it is?"
GAHHH! And I'm stuck at work until god knows what time. She has to go pick it up from the post office tomorrow anyway but still. Knowing I have new toys waiting at home for me and I can't play with them is so frustrating.
