Hi guys,
I am the proud new owner of a old Harman Mark II with all the bling bling options. I already have a Mark I and love it. My ? is how old is it? I cant find a date on it. Here is a pic. It is in beautiful shape with just some surface rust.I will be restoring it. Anyone know how old it may be? The three windows throw me. I have more pics if need be.
Thanks

I recently bought a black 3 window mark II. I don't know what year Harman switched to the single window but I would guess they are 15+ years old.

From here, it looks as though the glass is the only thing that has changed. Definitely well worth restoring .... if you were to sell it you could probably get close to what they've been getting for the modern ones. Or keep it as an upgrade to the Mark I. It'll throw out quite a bit more heat when you ask it to.
I went from a Mark I to a III -- the difference I cannot put into words!

You can't go wrong with black ..... it's universally accepted & goes with any decor. Although red would grab your attention ....

Well I do not have a sand blaster but I do have other tools to use. I have been spraying all the nuts and bolts down with Liquid Wrench for a few days now and think I will start the disassemble and sanding tomarow. Will take pics and mpegs.

For your next project, try this http://www.kanolabs.com/. I've become a recent believer in this stuff! Kicks rust's ass.

Hey guys,
I am picking up a Harman Mark III tomarrow and want to sand it down and repaint. On all of my previous stoves I have used Rutland Black Stove Paint (spray can) and have been more then pleased. For this stove though I am thinking I would like to paint it a dark red or green. What is the best high temp paint on the market today in a spray can?
Thanks,
Glenn
