Moving Air Around Quietly

Modern and vintage hand fired coal stove are similar to a wood stove and in some cases can burn either. They need to be regulated and fed by hand usually every 12 to 24 hours depending on your usage. They require no power to operate making them ideal for rural settings with long power outages.

Don't know where the best place to post this, so did it here---

I don't know if anyone has used one of these. This is a picture of one of the 2 I have, blowing air from the ends of an "L" shaped house that has the stoves in them, back into the main parts of my house.

they are super quiet, draw .38 amps, and tho unsightly, they do a great job of eneving out the heat from my stoves.

They are replacement kickspace heater blowers that are made by A O Smith, for the HVAC market. Available from most electric motor repair shops (I run one)
I screw them into the door trim, just the outlet hangs below the doorheader, and remove in the summer.

It includes the register grilles and templates for installation. Higher on the "wife acceptance".

25 CFM at 1.15 sones. 25 Watts. 0.5 Amps max. Pennies per day to run and ~$130 delivered from here:

The ASLL will work great for those with the stove in the basement.

I like the idea to be able to hide them in the summer. I had trouble getting heat to a couple rooms due to house design and only using a stove, not a coal furnace. (yet :o ) I have 2 of these running and they do an OK job. The rooms are noticeably warmer. I just put a vent cover over 6" solid duct.
