do you use these days? The doors are labeled "tall" . The original gasket was [ shaped to wrap around the edge of the glass.
The entire assembly begins with a wire screen laying in the frame, followed by the glass / gasket assembly, held in place with a cast frame screwed down in 4 places.
I have searched web site but not found preformed gaskets.
I will call a couple of stores in North Jersey later today.
Thanks for any links.
VC Vigilant 1A Which Gasket for Glass
Hay smoker. the glass panel for the Vigilant coal II is the same part number as for the 1A (1401119). http://www.stovepartsplus.com/Merchant5/PDFFILES/ ... I-2310.pdf Looks like it uses two gaskets (26 and 29) You could check with stovepartsplus to make sure. Good luck.
I've replaced mine many times witha fiberglass glass gasket material sold off a bulk roll from a good stove shop.
It is like 2 beads of rope style gasket material sewn onto a fglass tape, that goes around the edge of the glass (so as there is a "bead" is on the inside and outside of the glass. tape part is on the edge. Works well, mine are still on from last years overhaul.
