First Firing

Fired up my new hitzer 503. It burned well.I didnt fill it up, had bed 5 inches from hopper.I left the draft vents wide open not the ashpan door and the damper open figuring it will burn all nite and all I'll have is ash left in the morning.I woke up to find the stove was cold and there was white colored coal nuggets left.
So my question is was there not enough draft to totally burn the coal?Ambient temp have anything to do with burn?

Read the thread about Filling up your stove. I think it's in the hand fired section...other have the same problem. Probably not added enough coal.
